7 Days to Go!!

Heya Folks

Well Christmas is nearly upon us thank God.

It seemed such a long way away back in August when i last saw Amber but in truth the time has flown by.

I think I am just about finished on the Christmas shopping front, however every time i go to the shopping malls i seem to buy more.

Packing could be very interesting to keep under the luggage weight limit.

Its been a busy few weeks since my last post.

I was lucky enough to see Robbie Williams at the O2 in London during his sell out 3 date residency there. Plus we have managed to get tickets for his summer tour.

Robbie Live at the O2

Other than that its been work work work ready for the trip on Christmas Day.

Its been really helpful to have http://www.visajourney.com to guide us in preparing our K1 Petition.

I’ve been completing some of the forms ready to print them once I am in SC to send the package off.

I have been moved like so many people around the world by the senseless massacre at Sandy Hook and my heart goes out to everyone affected by what happened.

I’ll no doubt be posting again before the big day but for those who may not read the next post in time have a Wonderful Christmas and Stay Safe.

Our Story

So i thought I would start this blog to share my thoughts and experience of planning a wedding and a major move whilst being 4000 miles away from my fiancé.

For those that know me already you know the story. But for those that don’t here goes.

I met my fiance through an international exchange message room. I was working at an environmental education camp in Georgia whilst Amber was planning to study in Spain for a short time.

We hit off right away and spent many days and nights messaging each other and grew fond of each other quickly.

After I returned home we grew apart for a couple of years and both had other relationships.

In 2011 I flew to Orlando for a vacation and in the April before my July trip we began messaging each other again. We met up in Orlando and had an amazing date at Universal Islands of Adventures before spending the evening watching fireworks across the lake.

We decided to start our relationship and to begin with wanted to keep it between ourselves to see how we would both cope with the distance thing.

By Dec 10th 2011 we decided to officially tell everyone about our relationship and I flew back out to South Carolina to spend a week or so with Amber. We had a blast and after spending time in Myrtle Beach, Tybee Island and Walterboro, leaving Amber at the airport was the hardest thing I have ever done.

It was then that i realised how much I loved her and over the next 3 months those feelings continued to grow.

Come April I had decided I wanted to ask Amber to marry me and whilst spending 2 weeks in the US I proposed at the Gazebo in the Battery in Charleston SC on 10th April.

Since then we have begun planning our wedding and Amber finally got to visit the UK and meet my friends an Family in July/August.We had a blast whilst she was here getting to see some of the Olympic Games and Amber attending her first two football matches including the Gold Medal win for Team USA women.

Now I am preparing to visit the US for the third time this year to spend 2 weeks with Amber and Family. Whilst there we are starting our K1 visa journey.

Thats it for now.
